Desiccant Introduction:
The main raw materials for industrial desiccants include: fine-pore silica gel, Type B silica gel, color-changing silica gel, activated mineral beads, montmorillonite, molecular sieves, and more. Users can select the appropriate type based on the characteristics of the packaged product.

Purpose:
It can be conveniently placed inside packaging for various items, providing protection against moisture, rust, mold, and unpleasant odors. It is suitable for instruments and meters, photographic equipment, electrical appliances, leather goods, footwear and apparel, containerized shipping, as well as for moisture control in household wardrobes and other applications.


Specifications:
They are available in weights of 0.5 g, 1 g, 2 g, 3 g, 5 g, 10 g, 20 g, 50 g, 100 g, 200 g, 250 g, 500 g, and 1,000 g, and can also be customized into various specifications upon customer request.

Packaging material:

Type A silica gel, also known as fine-pore silica gel, appears as transparent or translucent granules. It is available in two forms: spherical and blocky. Its main constituent is SiO2•nH2O; it is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid and concentrated caustic soda solutions. It exhibits high mechanical strength and excellent abrasion resistance. Its internal structure features a pore volume of 0.35–0.5 mL/g, a pore diameter of 20–40 Å, and a specific surface area of ≥600 m²/g.

Characteristics and Safety Performance of silica gel Gel

Silica gel is a highly active adsorbent material, typically produced by reacting sodium silicate with sulfuric acid and subjecting it to a series of post‑treatment steps, including aging and acid leaching. As an amorphous substance, silica gel has the chemical formula SiO2·nH2O. It is insoluble in water and all solvents, non‑toxic and odorless, and chemically stable; it does not react with any substances except strong alkalis and hydrofluoric acid.
