Column Chromatography Silica Gel

Calcium Chloride Desiccant

Calcium chloride desiccant is a commonly used humidity-absorbing material, primarily used to adsorb moisture in the air and reduce humidity. Its main principles are as follows:
1. Hygroscopic Reaction: Calcium chloride has strong hydrophilicity. When exposed to humid air, it absorbs moisture from the surrounding environment through a hygroscopic reaction. This occurs because calcium chloride's structure contains hydrates that form compounds with environmental moisture, thereby adsorbing water.
2. Moisture Absorption Capaciy: As a desiccant, calcium chloride has high moisture absorption capacity and can continuously absorb humidity from the air until it reaches saturation.

Type A Silica Gel

Type A silica gel also known as Narrow pore silica gel, is transparent and translucent particles. It is divided into two types: spherical and block. The main component is SiO₂·nH₂O, insoluble in water and inorganic acid, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and concentrated caustic soda solution. High mechanical strength, good wear resistance.The pore volume is 0.35-0.5ml/g, pore size 20-40Å, specific surface area ≥600㎡/g.

Blue Silica Gel

Silica Gel for Flower Drying
